Advent Calendar Fun

I often find inspiration from other creative people; I mentioned HERE a blog called A Beautiful Mess as a resource where I find inspiration.  This blog entry HERE showed instructions for a very cute advent calendar, so I came up with my own version.  We're not huge on Santa in our house and we don't like to make Christmas about getting gifts, so I decided to make our calendar days the Nativity Story from the bible.  If you'd like a list of the scriptures send me an email, I'd be happy to them to you (thejoeandjill@gmail.com).  Joseph cut the wood for me and helped me paint the tree in the freezing cold!  I think our advent calendar tree turned out pretty cute.
