Caramel dos and don'ts...

Tonight I made caramel for the first time ever!  The recipe looked simple so I thought I have time to whip up a batch.  I ended up whipping up two batches.  The first batch burned to the bottom of the pan and, yes, I was stirring constantly.  The second batch worked perfectly; I switched to a non-stick pan.  Tip for the night:  When making caramel use a non-stick pan!
